Telescope Refurbishment

What's the best way to maintain your telescope investment?

Does your loupe need a "tune-up?"
Is it time to update your eyeglass prescription?
What will you do if your loupe or frame fails due to wear and tear?

Refurbish your loupe once/year to keep your loupes working like new!

One of our most popular services is the Telescope Refurbishment.
This will ensure that your telescopes are kept "tip-top" shape.
We recommend that you take advantage of this service at least once/year.

Do what most of our customers do:
The next time you are going to be out of the office for a week or more,
contact us at least 2 weeks prior to your departure.
This way we can make arrangements to have your loupe refurbished and back to you in time for your return.

Through our Telescope Refurbishment service, we will:

  • Ultrasonic cleaning of your optics
  • Inspection of your optics
  • Replace the hinge (FLM)
  • Replace the nosepads
  • Replace the side-shields
  • Replace the retainer strap
  • Re-assemble, re-adjust and laser-align your loupes
  • Clean your carrying case

How to send your SurgiTel product back to us for a Refurbishment:

1. Call Customer Service at 1-800-959-0153 to get an RMA number
You will put this RMA# on your package

Please DO NOT return any product without first obtaining an RMA number.

2. Disinfect your loupes
To avoid a $50.00 service charge, you MUST disinfect your loupes
Print and sign this page at the bottom below to verify disinfection
Refer to your user s guide for the disinfecting procedure

3. Repackage the product and all accessories (including this printed and signed page)
Write the RMA number on the package in an obvious place.
This ensures timely processing and tracking.
To avoid unexpected charges, please make sure all items are accounted for. Missing items cannot be credited.

4. Send the package to SurgiTel (77 Enterprise Dr / Ann Arbor, MI / 48103)

Refurbishment Service costs:
$125 for FLM Galilean telescopes (2.0x-3.0x)
$146 for all TTL or all Prism telescopes
